Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Maybe!?
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with your family and great food. Last year’s Thanksgiving was whiter than normal, with some snow on the ground. This year we had much warmer temps but with a breeze that tells us colder temps are coming soon. So, I checked some weather sites out and looked around and tried to work some prediction magic and I found nothing. The closest thing I can find was the Farmer’s Almanac stating more snow than usual and below- average temperatures for the Midwest. I also looked at some future forecasts for December and measurable precipitation was not going to be falling from the sky until the week before Christmas. So today it could 80 degrees and tomorrow 15 degrees and we are waking up to 5 inches of snow on the ground. Welcome to the Midwest. So, I suggest preparing early to get your liquid deicers, get your bulk and get your bagged salt of ProSlicer. Unless you are entuned with the weather here Iowa it’s better to be prepared for the winter then going to get your deicing liquids and salts at the last minute. Give the SFG Road Maintenance team a call and talk with us about your deicing needs. We definitely have the deicing tools you need this winter season.
